Clarity for brands at a turning point.
Start with the problem.
SCKIntersecting Realities · · · · Intersecting Realities. SCK operates through connection: between architecture and interiors, people and place, objects and art, material and experience. Rather than defining the studio by a single discipline, the brand was built around the intersections between them.
CLOSEDA Smuggler’s House · · · · · A Smuggler’s House. Newcastle’s history of steelworks, docks, the sea and old trade routes became the starting point for an imagined house filled with things accumulated from elsewhere. CLOSED emerged during that process. What began as an example of how the concept might be expressed became the name of the venue itself.
KOJAUnapologetically Good · · · · Unapologetically Good. KOJA did not need to behave like another worthy health-food brand. Its strength was the combination of genuinely better ingredients with products people actually wanted to eat. The brand could be healthy without becoming clinical, restrained or apologetic about pleasure.
SUB:3Bending Time & Space · · Bending Time & Space. SUB:3 takes its name from the pursuit of a sub-three-hour marathon — a goal defined by time. That became the organising idea for the identity: time not simply as information, but as something runners are constantly trying to compress, stretch and overcome.
Chris SisarichBeauty Amongst The Mundane · · Beauty Amongst The Mundane. Chris’s work finds something compelling in moments, places and subjects that might otherwise be overlooked. The identity takes the same position: finding character through restraint rather than spectacle.
Our Boy RoyThe Friendly Neighbour · · Roy is a man of many hats. A recurring character whose personality changes through his hair, trousers, patterns and whatever he happens to be carrying. Inspired by the directness and charm of old newspaper advertising, Roy gave the identity someone to build a world around without ever fully revealing who he is.
